It was one of four applications selected by the judging panel at the Honda Hack Day chosen to be put to the Guardian readers vote. After a month of voting, Bike Alert has been announced as the victor. The creators will receive a £2,000 grant from Honda to allow the application to be developed further.
A firm congratulations is in order for the BikeAlert team, and condolences to the other three applications. More information on all of the other three commended applications, as well as the winner Bike Alert can be viewed here.
