“My work is not just about giving people a shock or even about giving them pleasure. It’s about opening up people’s eyes and filling them with an awareness of the inherent beauty of things.”

Often identified as the guy who stole 200 doormats and smashed a scaffolding pole through a gallery window before exhibiting the results, Kevin Harman may cause controversy, but his artwork has proven to be far more constructive than destructive. Focused around sculpture, Kevin “roots out hidden beauty” within items, such as skip debris, which he reconstructs into striking forms. With an essence of performance in the making of his work, Kevin encourages interaction between individuals and communities whilst challenging points of view.
